In the dawn
It was right there, just where the sky meets the land. There, in that thin band of daylight that splits the dark in two. It was there that beauty spoke.
After two days of such a blackness of spirit, oppression, and darkness such as I’ve not had in months, He came, and in the predawn darkness, I heard the whisper.
“This new day brings second chances. A fresh start. A new beginning.
“You are not doomed to blackness and despair. No! For the Light has come. And the Light cleanses. It heals. It restores, and it makes all things new.
“In Me is life, and that life is the light of men.”
Something eased within. Some hold was broken. The darkness was pierced, and I felt the breath of Hope.
Do you, too, need hope today? A new beginning? A fresh start? Light for your way?
“His compassions (mercies) never fail. They are new every morning.”
That’s the offer this day from our Father, Maker of the dawn.
