From the Philippines with love (update from our traveler)

As some of you know, our son (he with the Jesus Hair) is in the Philippines. Recently, he penned these thoughts as in light of the viral outbreak encroaching even there. From his own mouth, these words…

Yesterday my city was declared under a state of quarantine. Borders will be enforced and a curfew has been set.

I have watched the past few days as food and supplies have disappeared from shelves, schools have closed, events of all kinds canceled, and fear seeping into the heart of a country that I love. I’m sure many of you have seen similar.

I will continue to live my life normally. I will go to the store, work out at the gym, and go to my coffee shop. Yes, by all means, I will wear my mask and wash my hands, but I refuse to surrender my peace or live in fear, and you can too. It’s not necessary.

To everyone who is scared, you are loved. To each one of you who has peace, spread it around. “Whoever dwells in the shelter of the Most High will rest in the shadow of the Almighty.” – Psalm 91:1

Be smart. Be safe. Be free.

Here for you always,

Jamison
